The redesign of the Poonak Cemetery precinct aims to redefine the complex as a serene, identifiable, and contemporary space; a space that, while respecting the historical and spiritual value of the context, becomes a legible, inviting, and human-scaled public realm for presence, pause, and reflection. The new site organization emphasizes fluid circulation, strengthened spatial hierarchy, and enhanced landscape quality. It recreates the harmony between architectural elements, vegetation (softscape), water features, and open surfaces (hardscape) to cultivate a balanced experience of stillness, memory, and urban life. Utilizing a contemporary yet deeply rooted architectural language, the design endeavors to transform the precinct into a prominent and legible landmark at both neighborhood and urban scales—a space capable of fulfilling modern functional needs while preserving and elevating the cultural and semantic dignity of the site
